Mobile Vikings: Cutting costs internally = Cheaper services for the customer
If anyone ever thinks about changing mobile operator her in Belgium, I can warmly recommend Mobile Vikings. Or no, better up..even if you’re not yet thinking about it – START now. I signed up on the website and the sim card was shipped on the same day to arrive 2 days later.
One envelope, one paper with sim card suitable for both micro and normal. No more paper, no signature, only send a sms as confirmation you want to transfer your number from your old operator to Mobile Vikings.
These guys CAN offer such great prices because their internal processes – their business processes – are streamlined. I’m not going to tell my Proximus story now but I can tell that they have such a complicated process of getting the interested customer from signing up all the way to final delivery. They involve multiple departments, resources, papers, signatures etc – which they think themselves at Proximus is correct. Why? Because they have been doing the same all the time so why change now?
As a consumer I believe that there is a big risk that being a customer of a large organisation will always be more costly than taking the chance and going with a smaller supplier/provider. Not only referring to money here – as time has the potential to be even more costly than a pure cost for activity performed.
The first day at my new job

My first day as an Account Manager at ZN is about to end any minute now. My dearest is soon coming to meet me for a bite to eat at Café Belga just around the corner.
It has been a really exciting day starting off with my over ambitious introduction of myself with prezi. I think it spiked at least a couple of laughs. I love prezi without a doubt and it was enjoyable making the presentation. Hope a greater part of the human kind will discover the amazingly fun and impactful presentation editor.
We had some training sessions on the internal tools for client management and invoicing, managing timesheets and more. I am very impressed by the introductory processes and ways of working.
I have been introduced to mainly two clients I will be working with. Already the day after tomorrow I will be taking part in a meeting with one of them.
Really look forward starting new relationships and participating in making things happen.
